Released in 1999, L’Eau Par Kenzo Pour Homme is a fresh marine/citrus scent. ‘Pour Homme’ means ‘for men’, so yes, it’s marketed for males – but that doesn’t stop ladies from wearing it! (In fact, I wear this one more than the women’s version!)

The main top note in this fragrance is yuzu, which is an East Asian citrus fruit, used mainly in Japan and Korea. So when you first spray L’Eau Par Kenzo P.H, you get a sharp and sweet lemony aroma. I love how YouTube reviewer extraordinaire Tim puts it in his (partial) review – “...the top notes are extremely refreshing, young and energetic”. Couldn’t have said it better myself!

After the initial citrus hit, the marine notes come into play – the “aquatic mint” and lotus leaf mix with the yuzu to give this scent a cleaner, calmer feel to it. Not long after this, the musk note shows its face and gives the fragrance a bit of depth. But really, this fragrance is citrusy all the way through.

On my skin, L’Eau par Kenzo P.H. lasts about 3-4 hours – which isn’t the best longevity for an eau de toilette, but it could be worse! (On average, you would expect an EDT to last up to 6 hours on your skin.)

L’Eau Par Kenzo Pour Homme is one of my favourite scents to wear during the spring/summer seasons. The freshness is fantastic for warmer weather – and it would be perfect for either a guy or girl to wear during the day. (I would say this scent was definitely for daywear.) Overall, it’s not such an original fragrance, but it does a great job at making me feel refreshed during the warmer months of the year.
